The E38 model in the 7 Series released in the year 1994 was provided with three types of engines namely, 4.4 liter V8 engine that produced 210 kilo watts, 5.4 liter V12 that produced 240 kilo watts of power and the 5.4 liter V12 that produced 243 kilo watts of power. The vehicle offered in both the manual and automatic 5-speed transmissions.
The length, width and the height of the vehicle was 5,123 mm, 1,862 mm and 1,425 mm respectively. The models released as the fourth generation vehicles were available in four different platforms namely, E65 with the standard wheel base, E66 with the extended wheel base, E67 as the high security version and the E68 as the hydrogen powered version. The models F01 and the F02 were released in the month of January, 2009 as the fifth generation models as a replacement to the 7 Series models of fourth generation. These vehicles come with 6-speed ZF automatic transmission. It is included with the 3.0 liter 6-cylinder engine made up of aluminum producing 183 kilo watts of power.
The vehicle produces 400 lb ft of torque at the speed of 1,750 rotations per minute to 3,000 rpm. What's more, in order to improve the handling of the vehicle, the front suspension MacPherson strut is replaced with the double wishbone.
